This time I would like to borrow the words of somebody who has been able to express much better than me how I after feel these days.
What follows is a beautiful poem by Edward Hirsch, an American poet who was once introduced in this manner by renowned author Jhumpa Lahiri: “The trademarks of his poems are things I strive to bring to my own writing: to be intimate but restrained, to be tender without being sentimental, to witness life without flinching, and above all, to isolate and preserve those details of our existence so often overlooked, so easily forgotten, so essential to our souls.”
Life is now more precious than ever… let us not forget that.
